User Interface Designer

The Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to address all aspects of product design.
  • Employ creative problem-solving techniques, combining design and business thinking to deliver innovative, reliable, and well-considered solutions from concept to launch.
  • Develop interactive design concepts using cutting-edge prototyping and design tools, based on business requirements and user needs.
  • Conduct research and testing, create user personas, map customer journeys, and develop service blueprints for complex products and services.
  • Utilise user-centric design methodologies to ensure that ideas align with customer needs.

Your routine tasks:

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to generate ideas and concepts for proposed solutions, as well as define Epics and User Stories.
  • Professionally present user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for maritime tech products to peers and clients.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines throughout the design process.
  • Perform user research, gather requirements, and transform them into wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
  • Synthesise concepts and client requirements into a cohesive visual language.
  • Provide support to the team by creating product marketing collaterals and campaigns as needed, as well as supporting Navozyme's websites.

Important to know before you apply:

  • Excellent communication skills are required for this role as you will be interacting a lot with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English is essential. The Navozyme team is bilingual in English and Spanish. Our working language is English as we work with clients from all over the world.
  • At least 3 years of UI/UX experience designing applications, websites, products, services, and experiences that balance user needs, business objectives and technological constraints.
  • You will need to share your design portfolio to apply.
  • You should be comfortable to work independently with minimum supervision. You need to be very well organised as you will be working with a different teams and products.

Technical skills that will be valued:

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • Experience with Agile software development processes and methodologies.
  • Exposure to the maritime industry /startups / innovation ecosystems
  • Worked in an international environment
